Terms of Service
Last updated 22 September 2026
These terms are a contract between you and Crateflip (“the service”, “we”) for your use of the service. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. The service is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discogs or eBay; using it does not change your own agreements with Discogs or eBay, which still apply in full.
Crateflip is currently run by an individual as an early-access service, not yet as a registered company. If you need our contact or business details for a specific legal purpose, email us (details below) and we’ll provide them.
What the service does
Crateflip reads items you have for sale on Discogs and, at your direction, creates or edits matching listings on eBay. You choose what to list, review and can change the title, price, category, photos and description before anything is published, and you choose when to end a listing. We do not list anything on eBay without your action, and we do not act as a seller of your items: you remain the seller of record on both Discogs and eBay, responsible for the item, its description, its price, and fulfilling any sale.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, have a Discogs account in good standing, and (once you connect it) an eBay account in good standing.
- You are responsible for what you list: that you own or can sell the item, that its description is accurate, that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights, and that it complies with Discogs’ and eBay’s own rules (including prohibited or restricted items). We do not check listings for compliance beyond what’s needed to build the eBay listing itself.
- You’re responsible for keeping your Discogs and eBay connections valid and for anything done through your account. Tell us if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
- We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, breaches these terms, or where we reasonably believe it’s being used for fraud or to harm the service or other people.
Syncs, pricing and payment
- Creating a new eBay listing through the service uses one “sync”. Editing a listing, ending it, and tracking sales are free. A listing that fails to go live doesn’t use a sync, and if one is charged in error we return it to your balance automatically; end-to-end, the balance shown in the app is the one that applies.
- New accounts get a number of free syncs, shown on the Syncs page. Further syncs are sold as listing credits at the prices shown there when you buy; prices may change for future purchases but never for listing credits you’ve already bought.
- Payment is taken by PayPal. We never see or store your card or PayPal login details. Listing credits are added to your balance once PayPal confirms payment, and don’t expire.
- We may give free syncs or a free (unlimited) account to specific people at our discretion, including as part of a promotion; this doesn’t create an ongoing entitlement.
Refunds and cancellation
This section explains your right to cancel a purchase of listing credits and get your money back.
- Unused syncs. You can cancel your listing credits and get a full refund of whatever part of them you haven’t used, within 14 days of buying them. Email us (details below) with the PayPal order reference. We aim to process refunds within 5 working days.
- Used syncs. Once a sync from your listing credits has been spent on a listing, that part has been supplied and is not refundable, except where the law gives you a right we can’t exclude, or where we made a mistake (see below). By buying listing credits, you agree that they can be used immediately and that this is the case.
- Our mistakes. If a sync was charged because of a fault in the service rather than anything you did, we’ll return it to your balance or refund the money for it, whichever you’d prefer, once we’ve confirmed what happened.
- After 14 days. Outside the 14-day window, refunds for unused syncs are at our discretion, for example if you’re closing your account for good.
- This doesn’t affect any right you have under the law of your country that we can’t exclude by these terms.
What we don’t promise
- The service is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a listing will always publish, price, or describe an item exactly as intended, or that it will sell.
- We don’t control Discogs or eBay: their pricing, fees, policies, category rules, availability, or decisions about your account or a listing (including removing it, limiting it, or suspending you) are entirely theirs, and we’re not responsible for them.
- We’re not responsible for losses from a listing being wrong, delayed, or not created; from a sale, a buyer dispute, or anything else that happens on Discogs or eBay once a listing exists; or from your own Discogs or eBay account being suspended or restricted.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn’t allow it, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to list anything illegal or that you’re not entitled to sell; to try to bypass sync limits or payment; to interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or access another seller’s account or data; or to automate use of the service beyond normal browser use without asking us first.
Ending your use of the service
You can stop using the service at any time; disconnecting eBay and deleting your account are available in the app and described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or end your access for breaching these terms, and may withdraw or change the service (or any part of it, including pricing for future purchases) at any time; we’ll try to give notice of anything significant where we reasonably can.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above shows when they last changed; continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
